North Star at Nuit Blanche North

A new performance offering from The SPACE Upstairs

As part of Nuit Blanche North 2025, we're thrilled to share North Star — a reflective, immersive performance created and performed by our Artistic Director Jillian Peever, with live music by the immensely talented Christine Charette.

This marks our fourth annual performance at Nuit Blanche North, a flagship event in the Near North that transforms downtown Huntsville into a celebration of contemporary art. We're honoured to be part of this electric night once again, thanks to the vision and support of the Huntsville Festival of the Arts.

About North Star

North Star is a poetic exploration of the quiet forces that guide us — personal memories, relationships, and the experiences that help us find light in uncertain times. Jillian brings her evolving inquiry into motherhood, identity, and connection to the stage in a performance that is part movement, part music, and wholly present.

This is an early sharing of a larger creation project in development at The SPACE Upstairs, generously supported by the Ontario Arts Council. Visitors are invited to engage with the work by responding to a community writing prompt:

“Is there a person, animal, place, or thing that makes you glow?”
Your words will become part of the fabric of the performance.

Performance Times: 8:30pm, 9:30pm, 10:30pm
