Classes

Dance is for everyone! Our classes celebrate the joy of movement.

Students build confidence through body awareness, strength, agility, and flexibility. Over time, they can explore the mind-body connection that nurtures creativity, self-expression, teamwork, and inner calm.

Classes are held from September-june in burk’s falls and Kearney — for information + registration on classes in kearney, see here.

 

Pre-school Dance Basics (3-6 years old - BURK’s FALLS)

Wednesdays - 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. or Saturdays - 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Minimum registration 8 weeks.

With creativity and physicality a high priority, students will gain body awareness, fine and gross motor skills, turn taking and sharing, and some basic musical knowledge while having fun.

Students must have turned 3 by the first class date.

 

Junior Dance Basics (4-7 years old - BURK’s FALLS)

Wednesdays - 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Minimum registration 8 weeks.

This class will focus on creativity, physicality, body awareness, working with others in small groups, and developing some basic dance skills. Students will gain confidence and see the benefits of working towards a goal. While encouraging listening skills, students will also be encouraged to share their own ideas when appropriate, to make their own dance ideas come to life.

Students must have turned 4 by the first class date.

 

Youth Dance Basics (7 and Up BURK’s FALLS)

Wednesdays - 5 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Register anytime! Minimum registration 8 weeks.

This class is for youth looking for a commitment to learn some more complex aspects of dance. We will still make room for some improvising and dancing in "our own styles" but with an emphasis on building on practice, discipline, and long term growth in dance knowledge, skills, and ability. Recommended additional class: Dance Fitness + Choreography

 

ADULTS ALL LEVEL DANCE (BURK’s FALLS)

Wednesdays - 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Class pass + drop-in options available + Partial Online add on available

Experience a dynamic blend of ballet conditioning, structured routines, and free-flow movement in our adult dance class. Build strength, agility, and confidence while embracing joy, playfulness, and a renewed sense of fun—perfect for body and mind! Mature youth are welcome.

 

Dance Fitness Curcuit (50min) + Choreography (20min) -BURK’s FALLS

Saturdays - 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Minimum registration 8 weeks.

Move through a series of exercises that support full range of motion for dancers. Repetitive series is accessible for all levels, all ages. Fitness component runs for 50 minutes followed by an optional 20 minutes of learning choreography. Recommended for Parents and Kids to join together!

 

Private Lessons available (BURK’s FALLS)

Saturdays - 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Minimum registration 8 weeks.

Learn from skilled and experienced dance teacher. These lessons can support stronger general dance skills, or focus in on Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, or choreography

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • In Burk’s Falls, classes take place at 39 Copeland St, Burk’s Falls, above the Burk’s Falls Library. We offer classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Burk’s Falls.

    We will be announcing expanded areas in Almaguin soon - stay tuned for updates!

  • For our kids’ classes, we require minimum 8-week registration. An 8-week registration ensures students have the opportunity to build momentum and continuity in their learning. It allows for deeper connections with classmates and instructors while creating space to progressively build on skills and concepts week by week, fostering growth, confidence, and creativity.

    Drop-in classes are available for adult dance only.

  • Yes! We offer financial assistance to ensure our classes are accessible to everyone—please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support. Additionally, if you have 3 or more kids in various classes or register for 3 or more classes yourself, discounts are available. Contact us to learn more!

  • Yes, we do! Classes may not run if registration is below 4 students. We will be in touch as soon as possible if you register for a class that does not meet the minimum student count.
